FORMICA SERGENT is a Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe wearable sculpture built around contrast between control and disruption. A translucent stone-tinted Italian acetate front gives the piece a clean, architectural presence, while olive-toned temples and rose gradient ZEISS lenses shift the composition into something more surreal.
This variant is also preserved as an error version. Portions of the engraved temple scripture appear upside down or were executed incorrectly, and those deviations remain intentionally visible rather than being corrected. The irregularity becomes part of the object’s identity, emphasizing the hand-finished nature of the work and its place within the archive.
Produced as an Édition d’Artiste of 111 individually unique works, each FORMICA Sergent is handcrafted and hand-finished in Modena, Italy. Salvador Dalí’s signature is engraved on both the temple and lens, while quotations are engraved inside the frame and hand-painted.
