Edition and Access

Honoring Salvador Dalí’s birth year of 1904, this release continues the Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe collaboration under Archive 001. Each colorway is produced in a limited series of 1904 pieces worldwide, micro produced and never repeated in the same configuration.

Every frame is individually numbered in shocking pink script inside the temple, echoed by matching pink markings on both the interior and exterior of the frame. The numbering is mirrored on the archival presentation box, formally entering each piece into the Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe archive.

This edition is offered as a pre order, with 1904 pieces available. Additional imagery and technical documentation will be released as production progresses.

Philosophy and Symbolism

The Formica silhouette carries Dalí’s emblem of the ant, a recurring symbol of transformation, persistence, and time. In the Off Black edition, the frame becomes a meditation on contrast, depth meeting reflection, control meeting imagination.

The temples conclude in Maison Marcel’s discreet spoon and fork motif, a quiet reference to Dalí’s fascination with everyday objects elevated into surreal icons. Each gesture of wearing or removing the frame becomes a deliberate, performative act.

Every piece is handcrafted in Modena by artisans whose eyewear heritage dates back to the 1950s, then finished with precise painted details. Salvador Dalí’s signature appears on the temple and again on the lens, preserving his presence both at the periphery and within the line of sight.
