This collection brings together one-of-one works, special editions, trial proofs, error proofs, studio experiments, and artist-worn pieces personally worn by Marcel Katz. Each object carries its own history through its materials, hand-finishing, markings, provenance, or place within the evolution of the MARCEL archive.
Some works exist as a single object. Others belong to extremely limited editions or represent variations that will never be reproduced. Natural irregularities, experimental treatments, production errors, and signs of wear are preserved as part of each work’s identity rather than concealed.
The archive includes both available works and pieces now held in private collections. Acquired works remain documented to preserve their provenance and their place within the history of Maison Marcel Universe.
