Accessibility Statement

Maison Marcel wants everyone to be able to discover, explore and collect our work. We are committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and by accessibility laws in Europe and elsewhere.

What we have done

  • Tested the site with automated accessibility tools and by hand, using only a keyboard and the information screen readers rely on, on desktop and mobile.
  • Made every menu, drawer, form and product option usable with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Given images, buttons and links text alternatives and descriptive names.
  • Raised text and control contrast, and made pages reflow at narrow widths and when text is enlarged.
  • Added pause controls to video and animations that play automatically, and we respect your device's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Made form errors appear in the page, next to the field they concern, and announced them to screen readers.

Known limitations

  • Some parts of the site are provided by third parties, including Shopify's checkout, sign-in pages, cookie consent banner and payment buttons, and the security check on our forms. We do not control their code, but we will pass on any problem you report to the provider.
  • Our product videos contain music only, with no speech. They are captioned as music.
