SCHOLAR STUDY 06220 takes its name from the postal code of Vallauris–Golfe-Juan, a place woven into Marcel Katz’s life in the South of France. Its warm tortoiseshell palette recalls the desserts he enjoyed in town: deep cocoa browns, caramel tones and golden highlights, translated into a sculptural object made to be worn.

The familiar richness of brown acetate meets the unexpected lines of the MARCEL Scholar. A rounded front, sculpted contours and undulating temples give the frame a rhythm of its own. Light moves through the tortoiseshell, revealing subtle shifts in color and depth.

Imagined in Miami and handcrafted in Modena, Italy, STUDY 06220 carries a personal memory of Golfe-Juan into everyday life.

Two lens editions offer two expressions of the same frame. Brown lenses deepen its warm, tonal character. Amber lenses bring a lighter golden warmth. Each lens edition is limited to 20 pieces worldwide, creating a total production of 40 pieces.

Every order includes the frame, a leather case, a Maison Marcel presentation box, an outer protective box, a microfiber cloth, authenticity card, certificate of provenance, and the printed care booklet.

A care booklet is included with every order. Clean the lenses with the provided microfiber cloth. Store your frame in its leather case when not in use. Keep it away from heat, alcohol-based products, and salt water. Treat it as you would a collectible object.

Each frame begins with Italian cellulose acetate, shaped and polished by hand in Modena. Artisans refine every line until the form feels inevitable. Precision replaces speed, and every gesture preserves intention.
