GUARDIAN II is a sculptural evolution of the classic box-style frame, reworked as a stronger architectural object with broad proportions and a substantial presence. Imagined in Miami and micro-produced in Modena, Italy, the piece is designed to function simultaneously as eyewear and as a collectible work within the Maison Marcel archive.

Each frame is handcrafted from sustainable Italian cellulose acetate enriched with natural pigment resin, supported by an Italian stainless steel core and precision hinges. Marcel Katz hand-paints the exterior and interior detailing, including serialized white markings that distinguish each work within the edition.

Produced as an Artist Proof / Édition d’Artiste of seven pieces, GUARDIAN II is offered in three distinct lens and color studies: Bolta Yellow, Storm, and Peach Orbs. Each variation preserves the same sculptural Guardian II architecture while shifting the visual character through its lens treatment and hand-finished detailing.

Every order includes the frame, a leather case, a Maison Marcel presentation box, an outer protective box, a microfiber cloth, authenticity card, certificate of provenance, and the printed care booklet.

A care booklet is included with every order. Clean the lenses with the provided microfiber cloth. Store your frame in its leather case when not in use. Keep it away from heat, alcohol-based products, and salt water. Treat it as you would a collectible object.

Each frame begins with Italian cellulose acetate, shaped and polished by hand in Modena. Artisans refine every line until the form feels inevitable. Precision replaces speed, and every gesture preserves intention.
