Guardian Nero Marmo draws from the gravity of Italian stone. A deep black surface with a liquid sheen, recalling polished marble floors in historic Italian galleries, where light moves slowly across dense material. The finish reflects subtly, absorbing more than it reveals, creating depth through restraint rather than shine.

hand painted details by Marcel Katz. Each frame carries tonal variation and surface movement inspired by natural marble veining. No two pieces resolve the same way. What appears uniform reveals complexity on closer inspection, preserving the presence of the hand within the object.

Handcrafted in Modena, Italy, Guardian Nero Marmo transforms the Guardian silhouette into a wearable sculpture of permanence and protection. The form is bold and architectural, designed to hold weight both visually and physically. This is eyewear conceived as structure, meant to anchor the wearer rather than decorate them.

An optional sculptural stand accompanies the work, made in house in the United States from copper and nickel soldered metal, then patina aged to achieve a raw, industrial, gallery ready presence. The stand allows the frame to exist beyond function, positioned as an object of record.
