Gay Alien is a playful and provocative work about identity, humanity, and the strange labels people place on what they do not understand. Painted over a bright rainbow field, the piece turns humor into a direct statement of visibility.

The title plays with the way society has often treated both queerness and alien life as something foreign, mysterious, or separate from the “normal” human story. By placing the alien inside a rainbow-colored world, Marcel turns that distance into celebration. The figure is not hiding. It is smiling, present, and fully itself.

The work also questions assumptions around sexuality, gender, and existence.
