FORMICA MOLTEN LAVA is a Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe wearable sculpture defined by movement, saturation and surreal color. Its Italian acetate carries a molten multicolor marbling of reds, electric blues, vivid yellows and greens, creating the appearance of color suspended in motion across the frame.
The FORMICA silhouette translates the ant motif into elongated sculptural temples, with proportions that reference the weightless, extended forms found throughout Dalí’s visual language. Salvador Dalí’s signature is engraved on both the temple and lens, while two Dalí quotations are engraved inside the frame and hand-painted as part of the object’s interior detailing.
