FRAME
Flowers 2 continues the visual language first discovered in Cannes, where the spiral began transforming into a flower. In this piece, the forms feel more confident and expansive, spreading across the gold surface like a living pattern. The spirals move in different directions, becoming stems, vines, petals, and symbols of growth.
The work feels playful but intentional. Each flower carries its own rhythm, as if the marks are growing across the canvas instead of simply being painted onto it. The gold background gives the piece a warm, collectible quality, while the red, blue, green, black, and white lines create movement and personality.
As the second piece in this flower evolution, Flowers 2 shows the idea becoming stronger. What started as an experiment becomes a visual signature, turning the spiral into a symbol of growth, repetition, memory, and new beginnings.

Description
Created in Cannes, France during the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, this original work by Marcel Katz reflects a spontaneous and expressive approach to contemporary art. Built through layers of acrylic, oil stick, and spray paint, the composition captures movement, experimentation, and the energy of creation in its rawest form.
Developed within the atmosphere of one of the world's most recognized cultural gatherings, the artwork serves as both a personal expression and a visual document of a unique moment in time. Through texture, color, and gesture, Katz transforms the canvas into a record of observation, imagination, and creative exploration.
Exhibited as part of Victim of Gold during the Cannes Film Festival 2026, the work embodies the artist's ongoing interest in creating pieces that exist between fine art, design, and cultural storytelling. The result is a singular object that reflects both the environment in which it was created and the broader creative journey of the artist.
