BOLT V1 “Glowing Ghost” is an early artifact from Maison Marcel’s BOLT series, created in 2021 as part of the Spark Collection. Built around the relationship between motion and light, its low-profile silhouette combines the energy of lightning with a distinctly retro sensibility and modern precision.

The frame’s defining feature is its response to light. After exposure to sunlight, luminous temple accents emit a bright orange glow, transforming the frame as lighting conditions change. This interaction between material, energy and environment captures the experimental character of Maison Marcel’s earliest eyewear work.

Imagined in Miami and handcrafted by artisans in Modena, Italy, BOLT V1 “Glowing Ghost” was produced in an edition of only five pieces worldwide. Each frame is individually serialized and registered within the Maison Marcel archive, preserving Glowing Ghost as a rare example of the brand’s foundational approach to micro-production and luminous design.

CARE

A care booklet is included with every order. Clean the lenses with the provided microfiber cloth. Store your frame in its leather case when not in use. Keep it away from heat, alcohol-based products, and salt water. Treat it as you would a collectible object.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each frame begins with Italian cellulose acetate, shaped and polished by hand in Modena. Artisans refine every line until the form feels inevitable. Precision replaces speed, and every gesture preserves intention.
