GUARDIAN MUTANT — ERROR PROOF 1 OF 2

GUARDIAN MUTANT — ERROR PROOF 1 OF 2

Wearable Sculpture · Edition of 11

GUARDIAN MUTANT — ERROR PROOF 1 OF 2 is an individually classified sculptural object by Marcel Katz, preserved within the Maison Marcel archive as a record of process, variation, and material history. The work originates from the Guardian Mutant edition but exists outside the numbered edition of 11.

During production, the interior engravings along the temple legs were applied upside down. The object is also visibly designated “ERROR.” Rather than correcting, concealing, or discarding the irregularity, the work was retained in its original state and formally classified as an Error Proof.
