Formica Brillante "Off Black"
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Collector’s Artifact
The Formiga in Off Black captures the quiet side of surrealism. Inspired by Dalí’s balance of mystery and form, each pair reflects discipline, restraint, and the harmony between darkness and light. Designed in Miami and handcrafted in Modena, this piece invites collectors to see elegance as a form of rebellion.
Edition and Access
Honoring Salvador Dalí’s birth year of 1904, this release continues the Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe collaboration under Archive 001. Each colorway is produced in a limited series of 1 904 pieces.
Philosophy and Symbolism
The Formiga silhouette carries Dalí’s emblem of the ant, symbolizing transformation and persistence. In this Off Black edition, the form becomes a study in contrast : depth meeting reflection. The temple tips end with a subtle spoon and fork motif, a final nod to Dalí’s fascination with everyday objects turned into surreal icons. Each gesture of wearing or removing the frame becomes a small act of art. Every piece is micro produced and never repeated, handcrafted by artisans in Modena whose heritage reaches back to the 1950s. Numbered in pink writing inside the temple and mirrored on the box, each pair joins the Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe archive as a numbered fragment of contemporary surrealism.
