"Gay Fish"

Poisson Gay is a playful and surreal work that turns a simple fish into a character full of confidence, humor, and identity. Set against a deep blue background, the fish floats like a small icon from an imagined sea, wearing lipstick as a bold mark of personality and self-expression.

The title, meaning “Gay Fish” in French, gives the piece a Cannes-inspired charm while also connecting it to Marcel’s larger exploration of outsiders, labels, and visibility. The lipstick adds attitude and softness at the same time, transforming the fish into something theatrical, stylish, and proudly different.

This work is lighthearted, but it still carries a deeper message. Poisson Gay celebrates individuality in its simplest form: being seen, being colorful, and refusing to swim through the world without leaving a mark.

Every order includes the frame, a leather case, a Maison Marcel presentation box, an outer protective box, a microfiber cloth, authenticity card, certificate of provenance, and the printed care booklet.

A care booklet is included with every order. Clean the lenses with the provided microfiber cloth. Store your frame in its leather case when not in use. Keep it away from heat, alcohol-based products, and salt water. Treat it as you would a collectible object.

Each frame begins with Italian cellulose acetate, shaped and polished by hand in Modena. Artisans refine every line until the form feels inevitable. Precision replaces speed, and every gesture preserves intention.
