Green Ghost Bolt V2 explores illumination through restraint. A taupe green grey frame paired with a green bolt rendered in light reactive compound, engineered to activate under ultraviolet light, sunlight, and ambient exposure. The reaction is material, not mechanical. No electronics are required.

In daylight, the frame appears muted and architectural, drawing from stone, fog, and softened vegetation. In darkness, the bolt emerges with a measured glow, revealing itself only when light recedes. Visibility becomes selective. Presence becomes intentional.

Green Ghost continues Maison Marcel’s proprietary glow system, where pigment and resin are integrated directly into the frame rather than applied to the surface. The illumination is embedded, permanent, and inseparable from the object itself.

Handcrafted in Italy at the Maison Marcel laboratory, Green Ghost Bolt V2 is produced in an edition of three pieces worldwide. Each is micro produced, finished by hand, and archived as an experimental collectible. No future repetition of this colorway or configuration is planned.

Green Ghost does not resist darkness. It exists within it.

Technical Note

The glow effect is achieved through a proprietary light reactive resin and pigment system integrated directly into the acetate. Exposure to UV light, sunlight, or ambient illumination charges the material naturally. Once activated, the bolt emits a sustained green glow in darkness without batteries, electronics, or mechanical components. Performance varies subtly between pieces due to hand production and material behavior.
