DARK GHOST GLOW BOLT V2 is an experimental sculptural eyewear object built around the Bolt V2 silhouette and a proprietary glow-in-the-dark material system. The frame is rendered in NOR black Italian cellulose acetate, paired with an orange bolt formed from a light-reactive compound integrated directly into the material.

In normal light, the object remains dark, restrained and architectural. After exposure to ultraviolet light, sunlight or ambient illumination, the bolt activates and emits a soft sustained glow in darkness. The effect is entirely material: no batteries, electronics, switches or mechanical components are involved.

This piece marks the first application of Maison Marcel’s proprietary resin-and-pigment glow system within the Bolt V2 silhouette. The treatment is embedded during fabrication rather than applied as a surface coating, making the effect permanent and inseparable from the frame itself.

Handcrafted in Italy at the Maison Marcel laboratory, DARK GHOST GLOW BOLT V2 was produced in an edition of only three pieces worldwide. Each piece is micro-produced, hand-finished and permanently archived as an experimental collectible. No future repetition of this colorway or material configuration is planned.

Every order includes the frame, a leather case, a Maison Marcel presentation box, an outer protective box, a microfiber cloth, authenticity card, certificate of provenance, and the printed care booklet.

A care booklet is included with every order. Clean the lenses with the provided microfiber cloth. Store your frame in its leather case when not in use. Keep it away from heat, alcohol-based products, and salt water. Treat it as you would a collectible object.

Each frame begins with Italian cellulose acetate, shaped and polished by hand in Modena. Artisans refine every line until the form feels inevitable. Precision replaces speed, and every gesture preserves intention.
