Dark Ghost Bolt V2 introduces a new surface language within Maison Marcel. A NOR black frame engineered with a proprietary glow in the dark resin, paired with a bolt rendered in orange pigmented compound that activates under ultraviolet light, sunlight, and ambient exposure. No electronics. No switches. The reaction is purely material.

In light, the frame remains restrained and architectural. In darkness, the bolt emerges. The glow is not performative. It is latent. Activated by environment rather than intention, allowing the object to shift states without intervention.

Dark Ghost Bolt V2 embraces darkness rather than resisting it. The frame does not seek constant visibility. It waits. When light disappears, presence appears. Standing out here is not volume or brightness, but timing. The piece reveals itself only when conditions allow.

This variant represents the first application of this proprietary resin and pigment system within the Bolt V2 silhouette. The glow is embedded within the material itself, not applied as a surface treatment. The effect is permanent, integral, and inseparable from the frame.

Handcrafted in Italy at the Maison Marcel laboratory, Dark Ghost Bolt V2 is produced in an edition of three pieces worldwide. Each is micro produced, finished by hand, and archived as an experimental collectible. No future repetition of this colorway or material configuration is planned.

Technical Note

The glow effect is achieved through a proprietary light reactive resin and pigment system integrated directly into the acetate during fabrication. Exposure to UV light, sunlight, or ambient illumination charges the material naturally. Once activated, the bolt emits a soft, sustained glow in darkness without the use of batteries, electronics, or mechanical components. Performance varies subtly between pieces due to hand production and material behavior.
