SCHOLAR “Wonka” is a sculptural eyewear study defined by marbleized chocolate tones, polished metal accents and the compact architectural proportions of the Scholar silhouette. The surface treatment gives the frame a layered, almost confectionary depth while maintaining the restrained geometry associated with the Scholar series.

The piece was developed during Maison Marcel’s earliest atelier period, combining experimental material character with a more disciplined frame architecture. Stainless steel accents introduce a sharper industrial contrast against the warmer acetate, creating a balance between fantasy, materiality and function.

Designed in Miami and handcrafted in Modena, Italy, SCHOLAR “Wonka” was produced as a micro edition of only 25 pieces worldwide. Each pair was individually numbered and authenticated, with custom presentation papers and packaging. The edition is preserved within the Maison Marcel archive as an early study in limited production and material experimentation.
