SCHOLAR “Lava” reinterprets the classic SCHOLAR silhouette through transparency, depth and color. Its transparent acetate construction reveals subtle layers of reflection, transforming the familiar rectangular frame into a luminous study of material and form.

Part of the SCHOLAR RETRO expression, Lava balances vintage character with contemporary craftsmanship. The transparent construction gives visual depth to the frame while preserving the strong proportions and intellectual character that define the SCHOLAR silhouette.

Conceived in Miami and handcrafted in Italy from premium cellulose acetate with Carl Zeiss lenses, SCHOLAR “Lava” was produced as a micro edition of only 20 pieces worldwide. It remains preserved within the Maison Marcel archive as an exploration of transparency, nostalgia and reinvention.
