SCHOLAR “Italia” was conceived as an homage to Italy’s enduring legacy of art, intellect and design. Its angled silhouette reflects the disciplined elegance associated with Italian academia, while contemporary refinements bring a modern clarity to the classic SCHOLAR form.

Part of Maison Marcel’s ITALIA Collection, the design explores the relationship between knowledge and beauty, tradition and innovation. The collection celebrates Italy’s twenty regions through a series of limited works, connecting cultural heritage with the Maison’s sculptural approach to eyewear.

Conceived in Miami and handcrafted in Italy from premium cellulose acetate with Carl Zeiss optics, SCHOLAR “Italia” was produced in an edition of only 20 pieces per style. It remains preserved within the Maison Marcel archive as a tribute to Italian culture, craftsmanship and intellectual tradition.
