The Formica Brillante Édition d’Artiste in Off Black is an ode to reflection and restraint. Conceived as a complete artwork, each frame is accompanied by a Dalí inspired sculptural stand in silver or black finish, designed as both foundation and companion to the eyewear. Together, frame and stand create a quiet dialogue between darkness and imagination.

 Each artifact bears Salvador Dalí’s signature engraved on the temple, with a second signature discreetly placed on the lens, preserving his presence in both structure and gaze. Limited to 111 pieces worldwide, every Édition d’Artiste is treated as a singular work, recorded within the Maison Marcel × Dalí Universe archive.

Off Black with Shocking Pink embodies surrealism in its most vivid state. The palette echoes Dalí’s fascination with emotion and movement, translating his symbolic ant motif into a luminous gesture of transformation. Shocking pink accents appear as hand painted details across the black frame, introducing flashes of color that animate the silhouette without disrupting its restraint.

The elongated temples reference Dalí’s Triumphant Elephant and Space Elephant, extending outward with a sense of weightless tension. At the temple tips, a discreet spoon and fork detail appears, a subtle nod to Dalí’s delight in elevating the ordinary into the fantastical. Each frame is handcrafted in Modena by artisans whose lineage of precision spans generations, then individually hand finished and painted by Marcel Katz.

Engraved in shocking pink with its Édition d’Artiste designation and mirrored on the archival packaging, the Formica Brillante exists to be worn, displayed, and preserved as part of the living archive of contemporary surrealism.
